Phoenix – your solids and media reborn
Phoenix system is a technology that is designed to remove PFAS from certain sorptive medias as well as from other solids such as soil and biosolids. The system utilizes specific chemistry based on the solid matrix and the vehicle which draws the PFAS to the solids.

The process separates the PFAS from the material, rendering the material PFAS-free. Phoenix utilizes a chemical solution customized for the solid to be treated along with a vigorous mixing and, as necessary, a fluidization of the material to afford it intimate contact with the chemistry necessary to liberate the PFAS compounds from the solid.
A concentrated liquid waste is generated which can be further concentrated and/or sent to our Perses destruction process. The solids are non-hazardous and free of PFAS contamination.
Status: our research team has successfully tested the process with a limited number or solids and is continuing this testing.
